2023 Elections: Sanwo-Olu advises Nigerians to shun violence, negative tendencies

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has charged Nigerians to enlighten, educate and encourage members of their families and friends to shun electoral violence, negative tendencies and pursue peace at all times.

Sanwo-Olu gave the charge at the launch of N10 Billion Endowment Fund by the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), at Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday.

The governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, said that meaningful development could only take place in a peaceful environment.

Sanwo-Olu assured that his administration would continue to provide and sustain a conducive environment for religious tolerance and harmony which Lagos and indeed the South West region was well known for.
