Russia-Ukraine crisis: Ukrainian forces ordered to inflict 'maximum losses'

The head of the Ukrainian military has said he had received orders from President Volodymyr Zelensky to repel a Russian invasion of his country by inflicting "maximum losses".

"The supreme commander the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave orders to inflict maximum losses against the aggressor," Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Valeriy Zaluzhny said.

It comes in response to Vladimir Putin launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, ordering troops across the border and targeting major cities with ballistic missiles.
