Van on motorway with carpet roll across windscreen stopped by police

A van with a soggy roll of carpet blocking its windscreen was stopped on a motorway by police.

The carpet roll was attached to the roof of the Peugeot van that was spotted driving along the M56 in Greater Manchester on Sunday evening.

Because of the wet weather conditions, the sodden roll of carpet was drooped down across half of the windscreen.
