CONSERVATIVE MP Chris Philp has claimed there has been a “shift” in the House of Commons with some MPs now opting to back the Prime Minister’s Withdrawal Agreement in Tuesday’s crucial meaningful vote.

Conservative MP Chris Philp has claimed there has been “a bit of a shift in mood” towards the Prime Minister's Brexit agreement just hours before the crunch vote. The Prime Minister has been warned that she does not have support for her Withdrawal Agreement, with the DUP and pro-Leave Tory MPs raising concerns over the backstop element of the deal. Speaking on Sky News, the Tory MP, who is backing Mrs May’s agreement, has claimed some parliamentarians have changed their mind over Mrs May’s deal.

He said: “I think she is certainly winning the argument in the sense that this deal is the best way of delivering on the referendum result in 2016. I think we are beginning to see a change in attitudes.
