Boris Johnson has become the 44th Conservative MP to sign up to the Stand Up 4 Brexit campaign against Theresa May's Brexit plans.

The move is fuelling rumours there are almost the 48 MPs required to trigger a no confidence vote in the Prime Minister's Tory leadership.

Mr Johnson posted a video to the campaign's website last night renewing his criticism of Mrs May's Chequers blueprint for Brexit.
