Duduzane Zuma is now embroiled in three separate legal cases, and the Gupta brothers aren't getting their own way with the state capture inquiry.
After being implicated by witnesses at the state capture inquiry, Duduzane Zuma will get his chance to cross-examine one of the witnesses who tied him to Gupta related corruption cases.
It’s going to be Mcebisi Jonas who goes head-to-head with the son of Former President Jacob Zuma. Jonas’ now-infamous testimony – which included the revelation that he’d received death threats from the Guptas – also dragged Duduzane into the mire.
Duduzane Zuma to cross-examine Mcebisi Jonas
The Gupta brothers had offered Jonas an eye-watering R600 million to be the finance minister in 2015. In exchange, he would look favourably upon their dodgy deals and keep quiet about their influence within the state. Showing his fierce integrity, Jonas declined the offer.
He also stated that Duduzane Zuma was in the room at the time and that he was very much an active part of trying to facilitate the deal.
