Rest assured, the irony is not lost on Hillary Clinton.

The former Democratic presidential nominee responded to the release Thursday of the Justice Department inspector general’s report on the handling of the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server and email address when she served as secretary of state with a stinging tweet.

The inspector general’s report faulted former FBI Director James Comey for his decision to publicly launch an investigation into Clinton’s email use that many believe and an impact on the 2016 presidential campaign.

“It was extraordinary and insubordinate for Comey to do so,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz wrote in his report, “and we found none of his reasons to be a persuasive basis for deviating from well-established department policies in a way intentionally designed to avoid supervision by department leadership.”
