Ukip want to scrap compulsory BBC licence fee - but charge you MORE to watch Strictly and EastEnders.

The party's economics spokesman said axing the compulsory fee would let viewers decide if they wanted to see their favourite shows.

Ukip wants to scrap the BBC licence fee but thinks viewers should pay more to watch their favourite programmes like EastEnders and Strictly.

While the £147 licence fee would no longer be compulsory, TV fans would have to fork out a subscription plus a top-up for certain programmes.


The Most popular telly hits would attract a premium, revealed the party's economic spokesman Patrick O'Flynn.
