Worcester UKIP chairman says election candidate is still a member- but his Facebook account says not.

UKIP in Worcester hopes to field candidates for every seat in the upcoming city council elections.
And the branch chairman says that its 2017 general election candidate Paul Hickling is still a member – although some ambiguity remains.

Owen Cleary, chairman of Worcester UKIP said, after the national leader Henry Bolton was fired by a vote of members at an extraordinary general meeting last weekend: “UKIP Worcester is glad our EGM has been concluded. Now we move forward, as the only British political party that is united in support of Brexit. “

He added of the party whose Twitter and Facebook accounts appear not to have been updated since December: “The twitter account is still active. We are planning for the forthcoming local elections and hope to field a full slate of candidates.”

And Mr Cleary said Paul Hickling, who stood to be MP in June 2017 is still a member of the Worcester city branch.
